Spanish Colonial Revival Scene

  • Details

This mural came from a famous mansion in California. Sadly, a very wealthy sports celebrity purchased the spectacular Spanish Revival 1920s mansion and against all the historical preservationists demands tore it down in the middle of the night. There were California tiles everywhere, and other tile murals in the outside walls. Tons of frescoes, wrought iron etc. The mansion was overlooking the Riviera Country Club and golf course, very near Diane Keaton’s house, just off Sunset Boulevard.  Made in California by a Mexican tile maker in the Chilean style.  Couple of small chips on corners.  Crazing throughout from the kiln.  Beautiful piece.
