    Keith McInTyre (1925-1997)

    McIntyre was a San Antonio artist who exhibited throughout Texas during the Mid-century period.  His painting "The Quarry" was awarded the Fort Worth Art Association Award at the Dallas Museum of Art's 16th Annual Exhibition of Texas Painting and Sculpture in 1954.  This painting was exhibited in 1955.  McIntyre was named the 1956 San Antonio Art League artist of the year.  His work was featured in the 1957 Dallas Museum of Art exhibition "A Survey of Texas Painting" alongside those of every notable Texas modernist artist.  McIntyre was the featured artist September 1965 at North Star Gallery and was credited, as of that date, with winning at least 5 purchase awards in major shows at the Witte Museum. McIntyre won the Onderdonk award in 1953 and 1956 at the Annual San Antonio Art League Show.
