    Lorita Giles (1893-1992)

    Lorita Giles was known for her detailed woodblock prints of San Antonio landmarks. Giles studied printmaking with Clara Duer at the Witte Museum in San Antonio. In the 1940s, Giles worked out of Gutzon Borglum's old studio, Mill Race in Brackenridge Park, working in many areas of printmaking. She exhibited throughout Texas, including at the Witte Museum.
