Details
One of the great Folk Art Pieces that I have had. Look at the outer edges. They are Faux Bois. All of the apparent wood grain is not real grain but painted to look like wood.

Biography
Francis Austin Cloonan (Frank) (1865 - 1950)
San Antonio Muralist, decorative painter, merchant.
Cloonan was born in Ireland and came to San Antonio about 1908. There he sold paint supplies under the trade name Cloonan and Osborn and in the 1920s executed decorative paintings in San Antonio churches. He died in a San Antonio hospital and was buried in the city.
