    Perry Nichols (1911 - 1992)


    PERRY NICHOLS - Born 1911, Dallas, Texas. Won high school scholarship to study with Alexandre Hogue at Glen Rose, Texas. Studied with Frank Reaugh in Dallas. Exhibited in Allied Arts Show in the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts consistently since its beginning, winning several awards and major prizes. Exhibited in the New York World's Fair, Chicago World's Fair and Chicago Art Institute. 

    Designed and executed scenery for numerous stage shows and dance productions. Painted some 300 murals in the Southwest, some of the larger commissions being in the Lone Star Gas Company, Fair Park Building, Dallas Morning News Building, Sears, Roebuck Ross Avenue Building, Dallas, and the Baker Hotel, Dallas.
